Why The Universe Brought Me To You

Stone & Moon Studio grew from a series of life-changing experiences that gave my love for design a deeper purpose. Sometimes we don't understand why certain challenges come our way, but I can see how the universe guided me exactly to where I needed to be.

Originally from Baltimore, my path to creating Stone & Moon Studio began shortly after we moved to Virginia Beach in 2021. Just after settling into our new home, we welcomed our daughter into the world and shortly after, learned our three-year-old son needed a liver transplant. Without hesitation, my husband stepped forward to be his donor. In searching for ways to manage our stress, the universe brought us to Trine, a Reiki practitioner who would ultimately change the course of our lives. What started as stress management turned into a lifestyle - through her gentle guidance, we discovered the power of energy healing, meditation, manifestation, grounding practices, and so much more. Looking back, I'm deeply grateful for the divine timing that brought us to Virginia Beach – this unexpected and beautiful journey might never have unfolded had we stayed in Baltimore.

In 2024, when my husband was diagnosed with Medullary Thyroid Cancer, we were grateful for the wellness practices we had already established. The tools and perspective we gained through our son's journey helped us approach this new challenge with more awareness and patience. Building on our foundation of wellness, we deepened our commitment by becoming Reiki Level 1 certified and we continue to explore practices that help us take care of our whole selves: mind, body, and spirit.

My years of design experience combined with our personal wellness journey created the perfect intersection of purpose and skill. I discovered that my passion for thoughtful design could help wellness practitioners share their work more effectively. Having experienced firsthand how these healing practices can change lives, I now use my 15 years of creative expertise to help wellness and spiritual practices authentically connect with those seeking their guidance.

The name 'Stone & Moon Studio' represents the beautiful partnership between practical design and creative vision. The stone reflects the practical side of design - creating work that's reliable and trustworthy. The moon represents the creative side - bringing fresh ideas and inspiration. When working with clients, this balance helps create designs that are both grounded and inspired.
